As we can't possibly afford to go to Fiji (as I'd dreamed), and staying at home for a week of "honeymoon at home" is starting to sound a bit depressing - as I'd undoubtedly spend it unpacking and cleaning up wedding stuff, etc, I'm now considering a driving honeymoon... and am currently investigating Queenstown.
I'm hoping there will be plenty of choice for reasonably priced (but lovely) accomodation, WITH room service, and lots of cheaper places to eat - as an alternative to pricey hotel restaurants.
We'll see.
Here's what I've found so far:
Millbook Estate
Village Inns Studio Rooms are the cheapest. Looks beautiful. All rooms have a balcony or terrace. Even the basic rooms looks lux. Might be a bit expensive.

Rates include breakfast and parking. Has shiny new honeymoon suite but it's expensive. Standard rooms look nice , are private and quiet with bath. No restaurant, and only breakfast room service if staying in honeymoon suite.
